  [S26] Henry Browne, Montague Peerage - Case of Henry Browne, p. 5. His son and heir, Anthony Browne, having married Mary Dormer, daughter of Sir William Dormer, of Eythorpe, Bucks, died in the lifetime of his father, viz., in July 1592, and he was buried at Midhurst on the 1st of August following, leaving Mary Dormer a widow, who re-married, first, Sir Edmund Udevale, and secondly, Sir Thomas Gerard. He also left three sons, viz., Anthony Maria, his eldest son, John, his second, and William, his youngest son, and three daughters, of whom one (Catherine) married John Tregonwell, Esq., of Milton Abbas, in he county of Dorset.
