Parke S. Tucker, 80, of Stevens R2, Reamstown, died Thursday at 11:45 p.m. at Ephrata Community Hospital, where he had been a patient one month. His death followed a lengthy illness.
A self-employed automobile mechanic, he worked up until the time of his illness. He had been a mechanic since 1949.
An Army veteran of WOrld War I, he was a member of Cocalico Post 492, American Legion, Denver, and Cocalico Valley Post 3376, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ephrata. He was also a member of Muddy Creek Lutheran Church, Swartzville, and Fraternal Order of Orioles, Nest 54, Denver.
A resident of East Cocalico Township for the past 46 years, he was born in Honey Brook, a son of the late Alvin and Anna Belle Supplee TUcker.
Surviving are his widow, Florence L. Sharp Tucker, at home; a daughter, Thelma M. Tucker, Lancaster, and two half-brothers, William G. Dickinson, New Holland, and Albert Dickinson, New Oxford, RI.
