Elwood Webster Reynolds, formerly of West Chester Elwood Webster Reynolds, 87, of Warrenton, Va., formerly of West Chester, died Thursday, in Fauquier Memorial Hospital, Warrenton, after a brief illness. He was a widower of Madeline Sager Reynolds. Born in West Chester, he was a son of the late Isaac G. and Elizabeth McFarland Reynolds. He graduated from Andover-Philips Preparatory School in Massachusetts and received a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He had been employed with RCA's sounds division for a number of years, and later became chief of the cable division of Western Electric. He retired in 1968 after many years of service. He is survived by a daughter of Barbara Reynolds Baker, of Warrenton; four granchildren and three great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Rosedale Friends Cemetery, West Chester. [S1] Newspaper Clipping, 26 Oct 1924, Philadelphia Inquirer. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood W. Reynolds, whose marriage took place recently, will shortly return from the wedding trip and reside in West Philadelphia. Mrs. Reynolds was formerly Miss Madeline Sager, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John P. Sager, of North Owen avenue, Lansdowne.
