Luther Pawling, 85, formerly of West Wyomissing, died April 15 in this residence in Crawforsburn, Helen's Bay, Northern Ireland.
He was the husband of Carol Pawling.
Born in Mohn's Hill, Spring Township, he was a son of the late George and Ursual (Wietzel) Pawling.
Pawling was employed for 15 years as an erector by Berkshire Kitting MIlls, Wyomissing, and was last employed for 25 years as plant manager by Berkshire International, Wyomissing, in Newtownards, Northern Ireland, until his retirement.
He was later president of Pawling Building Supplies and INsulation, Belfast, Northern Ireland, for many years.
Pawling wa a Navy veteran of World War II.
He also is survived by two daughters, Dolores E. (Pawling) Gangemi, West Reading, and Janet L. (Pawling) McLaughlin, Sinking Spring; and five sons: David L., Reading; Craig E., Wyomissing Hills; Hugh, Northern Ireland, with whom he resided; Mark, in Northern Ireland, and Luther, Plano Texas.
Other survivors include four brothers: Charles, Lititz, Lancaster County; Warren, Shillington; Forrest, Sinking Spring, and George, Mohnton.
There are also eight grandchildren.
Memorial services will be private in Lititz.
