  [S38] Obituary, 9 Oct 1957. George E Esterly, 80, of Boothwyn R.D., Deleware County, died yesterday at Fair Acres Farm, Lima. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edwin and Frederica (Schaffer) Esterly. He was a former member of Windsor St. Methodist Church and a member of Siloam Methodist Church, Booth Corner. Esterly is survived by his widow, Clara (Hiester) Esterly, a son George E., of Reading; two daughters, Grace, wife of Mervin F. Fair, Mohrsville and Gladys M., wife of Rev. Leighton S. Palmer, Boothwyn and eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Helen, wife of Harley Mohn, in 1949. Burial in Sinking Spring Cemetery.
